WaterFence 240
Installation

Installation details for the WaterFence 240 panel —requirements, resources.

Installation Overview

Installing the WaterFence™ 240 follows the same basic process as a standard wood fence. Most experienced fencing contractors can complete an installation without specialized training, and homeowners comfortable with fence construction will find the process familiar.

Setting the Posts
Begin by setting your support posts according to your fence layout. WaterFence post placement follows conventional fencing practice. Posts must be set securely in concrete per the specs below. Note a fully loaded tank panel can weigh up to 2,000 lbs when filled to capacity.

Setting the Tank
With concrete fully cured, the WaterFence 240 tank panel is lowered from above between the posts into the tank’s side channels. Two installers are recommended for this task.

Connecting the System
Once the tank panels are in place, tank connectors are installed between adjacent panels to allow water to flow freely from one tank to the next — enabling unlimited daisy-chained storage capacity across an entire fence run. Valves and spigots are positioned near the base of the fence for convenient access to your stored water. The fill inlet on the top of the tank panel is connected to your gutter down pipe.

Attaching the Facades
Facades are optional but most owners prefer them. Facades are attached to the tank panel using nine embedded connect points with 1/4″ screws.
